Marie wetherell established The Makeup Artist Academy in 2004.  She has instructed hundreds of salon professionals in all phases of the beauty industry for over 20 years.  Her knowledgeable background in professional makeup artistry extends to Beverly Hills with past celebrity clientele.  She specialized in Bridal Makeup and Hair at the Five Star Halekulani Hotel, Honolulu, Hawaii, before moving to and establishing the first Makeup School in Northern California.

Marie is a licensed Cosmetology instructor, and was a salon owner in Honolulu, Hawaii.  She has taught for Paul Mitchell Systems, as a platform artist, was an Education Manager for Revlon Professional Products for nine years, and is the owner of "Do It For You" Destination Bridal Hair and Makeup Services...at your door!  Marie established The Makeup Artist Academy, a professional artist training program for creative people seeking a career in makeup artistry.

Marie moved to El Dorado Hills and started her businesses in 2004.
